It’s Negroni Week and we’re celebrating with our go-to twist on the classic. Gone are the days of this simply being an in-the-know tipple, it’s the cocktail of the moment. With this citrus-forward cocktail we like to take it up a notch by adding our most adventurous flavour yet – Didsbury Gin Blood Orange & Ginger!
But, hang on… what is Negroni Week? Why are we celebrating? Well… for very good reason. This week, created by Imbibe and Campari, is there to make sure we all make the most of one of the greatest cocktail creations this world has to offer. Plus, it’s for charity. (We know, drinking is great but even better when for a good cause). They’ve already managed to raise over $3 million to donate to charities across the world over previous years. So of course, we’re well behind this idea.
Read on for our go-to recipe and give it a try!
Blood Orange Negroni:
Our blood orange twist on the classic.
Ingredients:
25ml Didsbury Gin Blood Orange & Ginger
25ml Campari
25ml sweet vermouth
Method:
In a mixing glass, add ice and all ingredients.
Stir to chill, for about 30 seconds.
Strain into an old-fashioned glass with one large ice cube.
Garnish with an orange peel twist.
