All the windows are open, all the coffees are iced and the fans are on full blast. This can only mean one thing; Summer has well and truly arrived. With it has come the undeniable urge to have the coldest, most refreshing treats to keep the heat at bay.
These frozen treats offer something for everyone and make Summer sipping a little bit more exciting. There’s a tangy frozen G&T, a sweet raspberry gin slushie and a fun way to turn your G&Ts into ice lollies.
Get your blender ready and let’s have a drink. Read on for our favourite frozen treats…
Frozen G&T
You’ll Need:
50ml Didsbury Gin Original
3 thick cucumber slices
25ml lime juice
50ml tonic water
15ml sugar syrup
1.5 cups ice (about 12 ice cubes)
Method:
Pop all the ingredients in a blender and blend until it reaches a slushy consistency.
Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy!
Raspberry Gin Slushie
You’ll Need:
50ml Didsbury Gin Raspberry & Elderflower
150g frozen raspberries
50ml lime juice
125ml Soda water
Garnish: Lime slices and frozen raspberries
Method:
Add all your ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass and garnish with lime slices and frozen raspberries.
G&T Ice Lollies
You’ll Need:
6 slices cucumber
6 mint leaves
75ml Didsbury Gin Original
250ml tonic water
50g caster sugar
Method:
To a six holed lolly mould, push a cucumber slice and a mint leaf into each hole.
In a jug, add all the remaining ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Divide the gin and tonic mixture between the six moulds.
Push in lolly sticks and leave to freeze overnight (or at least 5 hours if you can’t wait that long)

Top tip:
Fancy using a different gin flavour? No problem! Swap out the cucumber for a fruit that matches your chosen flavour. EG: Raspberries for Didsbury Gin Raspberry & Elderflower.
