As the end of 2021 draws nearer, we’re reflecting on our recent, most exciting pieces of press coverage. Of course, who better to share these with than our favourite people – you!
From our co-founder delivering a petition to Chancellor Rishi Sunak, to releasing our Christmas liqueur, to our canned cocktail hitting the shelves of Co-Op stores – there’s been plenty of buzz in the media about Didsbury Gin.
Let’s have a look through some of our favourite pieces, shall we?
Perfect Pink Gins!
A few months ago, we launched a range of hedgerow-inspired gins and the flavours caught the eyes of a few publications.
Good Housekeeping loved the range of pink hues and said they were perfect for those ‘hazy summer days’. We might be biased, but we think they were spot on.
Crave loved the selection of colours too and made note of our commitment to 100% real fruit and botanical infusions. It’s all about making great gin for people who share our beliefs; that gin can be both natural and luscious.
Festival Drinking
This year, we had a real push on festival serves, particularly with our ready-to-drink cocktail cans. When it comes to our bar-quality cocktail cans, we know we’re biased… but they really do make a fantastic option for festival sipping.
With the last couple of years, reducing touch-points has been a priority for a lot of venues. As we welcome back larger-scale events, it makes sense to give bar staff an easy way to serve great drinks while keeping them and the customers as safe as possible. Simply handing out a can makes this a lot easier and saves time too!
With this in mind, we were super excited to be on the bars of PRIDE Festival, Castlefield Bowls, Neighbourhood Weekender and Fields of Gold. So, it was great to get a shoutout from the Manchester Evening News about our presence at all these wonderful events!
Let the spooky season be-GIN!
Last month, we were thrilled to see our Blood Orange & Ginger G&T cans hit the shelves of over 200 Central England Co-op stores in time for Halloween. Of course, in the spirit of spooky season, it had to be our spookiest flavour of all: BLOOD Orange!
We were joined by our friends at ARLU with their spook-tacular Blood Orange Spiced Rum, perfect for a deliciously boozy Halloween.
The Festive SPIRIT
Our most recent launch was the revival of our incredibly popular Christmas Pudding Liqueur. We had heaps of customers ask us to bring this flavour back, so we were pleased to re-release it with a refreshed and upgraded look.
The Grocer highlighted those familiar festive flavours of citrus and cinnamon, over the top of classic juniper notes, while the Daily Post & Wales Online celebrated its return too!
Tackling the 2021 Budget
Recently, our co-founder Liam Manton turned his efforts towards encouraging Chancellor Rishi Sunak to reconsider raising taxes on spirits in the 2021 budget. He, and Graeme Littlejohn of the Scotch Whisky Association, delivered a petition to 11 downing street to highlight the impact of any tax rises on the UK Spirits Industry.
